Trout Unlimited Fishing Expo at MSO

Get excited for the Trout Unlimited (TU) Fishing Expo this Saturday, May 6th! Events will be held at our Rockport Location (115 Commercial St.) There will be a raffle and an accompanying sale on fishing gear up to 25% off!

Check out the schedule below:

10:00 AM: TU activities start around the MSO physical plant

  • Fly casting demonstrations by TU begin;
  • Fly tying demonstration and instruction begin;
  • Raffle ticket sales and silent auction/tag sale benefitting TU viewing and bidding begin;
  • Educational materials about past TU projects open to viewing;

10:30 AM: Fishing Gear Demo with Seth Taylor of Maine Sport Outfitters fishing dept.

  • Float tube fly fishing – the boats, gear and tackle that make this method so effective.

11:00 AM: TU activities ongoing around MSO

  • Fly casting demonstrations by TU continue;

11:30 AM: Fishing Gear Demo with Andy Skrivanich of Maine Outdoor Guides

  • Modern techniques in Spin, Bait-casting and Fly Fishing for Bass – well-rounded, sophisticated and approachable current methods.

12:00 NOON: TU activities ongoing around MSO

  • Fly casting demonstrations and instruction final session.

1:15 PM: TU activities ongoing around MSO

  • Fly casting contest.

1:30 PM: TU activities ongoing around MSO

  • Fly tying demonstration and instruction final session;

1:45 PM: ongoing TU activities around MSO wrapping-up, as educational materials are collected and stored.

2:00 PM: TU Raffle drawing and auction announcements will close out the event.
