Join Maine Sport Outfitters Registered Maine Guide Cameron Leach for a headlamp hike and stargazing (weather permitting) on a local area mountain the second Friday evening of each month during the winter season.  Trips will leave from the Maine Sport Parking lot at 4PM and return by  8PM.  Participants should be prepared to hike in winter boots/microspikes/snowshoes depending upon conditions.

Each hike will take approximately two hours and will include some light stargazing and constellation identification.  Come layered up and bring your headlamp, a light snack and water as we explore area summits during the most dramatic season of the year.

Dates:

January 12th – Maidens Cliff (Barrett's Cove Trailhead)

February 9th – Bald Mountain (Barnstown Rd Trailhead)

March 8th – Mount Battie (Rt 52 Trailhead, Carriage Trail)

Timing:

Begins at the trail at 4pm and returns no later than 8pm.
