Looking for a different way to explore the Maine Woods this winter? Join Maine Sport Outfitters for one of our Full Moon Snowshoe Treks.  With easy to use snowshoes and trekking poles, we’ll traverse the local woods bathed in the moon’s light.  Our knowledgeable Maine guides will discuss natural history and identify constellations and animal tracks.   We will also stop along the way to take in the epic views of Penobscot Bay while enjoying snacks and hot drinks. This tour is popular with all ability levels and ages(12+)! 

Dates:

January 24th – Beech Hill (Rockville St. Trailhead)

February 24th – Bald Rock (Stevens Corner Trailhead)

Timing:

Begins at the trail head at 5pm and returns around 8pm.

Additional Information:

The trek will take approximately three hours. Come layered up and bring your headlamp, a light snack and water as we explore local woodlands during the most illuminating nights of the year.  Snowshoe rentals available.  If snow is thin and the conditions are icy micro spikes are strongly recommended.
